The Open Hatch

With us, you'll sail with the world's biggest Open Hatch fleet

Grieg Philippines provides seafarers to the Grieg Star ships in the world's largest Open Hatch fleet, commercially operated by G2 Ocean.

Open Hatch vessels are a type of multi-purpose vessel, and are sometimes confused with bulk vessels. There are some significant differences, however, in particular how bulk vessels have a narrow hatch opening, while OH-vessels have full-width opening. This makes each hold as accesible as possible, perfect for parcelled goods of any kind. The image shows the difference, with conventional bulk to the left, and Open Hatch to the right.
